On September 20-21, 2023, we took part in the 3rd Forum of Polish Towns held at the Novotel Centrum Hotel in Warsaw. The event bringing together over 250 local governments is a platform for exchanging opinions on current challenges in the management of small and medium-sized cities.
As Lafrentz Energy we had the opportunity to present our services at the stand and share knowledge about the transformation and development of renewable energy, which is at the heart of discussions among local government. We were the patron of the thematic panel “Renewable energy transformation as an opportunity for local government units in the process of attracting investors”, where we debated among experts in the field of energy industry and local government management.

We are pleased to announce that we have joined the 100 MW H2 company as a shareholder, where together with our partner Nexus Consultants we will implement various projects in the area of energy and hydrogen transformation.
The “100 MW H2” project involves cooperation with local government units and the SME sector in the preparation and construction of 100 electrolysers with a capacity of up to 1 MW, intended for the production of green hydrogen from energy from renewable sources (including photovoltaic farms, wind farms, biogas ). The aim of the first stage of the project is to select 100 communes and local government units for the project. This will allow for cost optimization as well as support the development of the local economic ecosystem.
“Cooperation with Nexus Consultants is another significant step of the Lafrentz group towards the energy transformation and the upcoming hydrogen revolution.” – notes Gabriel Kobierski, President of the Management Board of LafEnergy Sp. z o. o.

On June 20-22, 2023, we took part in one of the most important events of the RES and wind energy industry – the “PSEW Conference” organized by the Polish Wind Energy Association.
The numbers speak for themselves: 1,500 participants, 100 speakers, 650 entities, representatives of 35 countries, 100 partners, sponsors and exhibitors.
The PWEA conference is an impressive number of substantive lectures and a debate on the current state of the wind industry and the prospects for its further development. Discussed, among others, on the current course of the wind energy installation process, as well as on how to activate the onshore wind energy device. Other important topics discussed concern the use of wind energy to produce green power and network challenges in the context of cable sharing.
For Lafrentz Energy, it was also a time of effective meetings with current Partners and the beginning of cooperation with participation. Progressively inform about the effects.

On May 16-17, 2023, we had the pleasure of participating in H2POLAND – the Central European Hydrogen Technology Forum, which was held at the Poznań International Fair.
The theme was hydrogen, i.e. a fuel that will revolutionize the energy market, e.g. due to its wide application in mobility, heating and industry. What is important to us as Lafrentz Energy is that the production of hydrogen will allow us to use the potential of renewable energy sources even more fully. Obtaining hydrogen from energy generated by wind turbines and photovoltaic panels is an excellent way to increase the efficiency of farms and store surpluses.
The development of the hydrogen economy is undoubtedly one of the key directions in the ongoing energy transformation and mitigation of global climate change. In order for the process to be accelerated, it is necessary to constantly educate the society, intersectoral cooperation and introduce legal regulations as soon as possible. We are glad that the organizers of H2Poland created a place for discussion in these areas and that we had the opportunity to be one of the participants.

On January 17-19, the Solar Energy Expo 2023 Trade Fair for the Renewable Energy Sources Industry was held for the first time, in which the Lafrentz Energy Team participated.
The exhibitors included producers, suppliers, distributors and service providers of products and solutions in the field of zero-emission technologies: solar, wind, water, geothermal and biomass. Various certification and research and development institutes as well as companies working in the field of electromobility were also interested in the fair. Most of the discussion panels and lectures were devoted to the problem of energy storage. We had a chance to listen to the speeches of industry experts and establish valuable contacts. Trade fairs are an ideal opportunity to integrate the sector.
It was also an opportunity to meet the largest producers from both Poland and abroad. The RES market is one of the most dynamically developing areas, therefore, by participating in the fair, we had a chance to learn about innovations in the industry – in the field of technology, production and services provided to various entities related to the RES market.

On October 17-18, 2023, the Local Trends congress was held at the MTP Congress Center in Poznań. This is a project initiated by the Mayor of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak, and the Mayor of Sopot, Jacek Karnowski. Its goal is to initiate a substantive and constructive discussion about the development of Polish local government and the country.
One of the leading topics of the forum was the need to introduce changes in the energy sector, forced by the current market situation (energy prices, lack of coal, war in Ukraine, EU directives). Participation in the event allowed us to learn about the needs of local government officials regarding the energy transformation. We are ready to support LGUs in this process. We have the necessary knowledge, resources and staff to achieve the set goal and, most importantly, we are strongly oriented and motivated to eliminate the carbon footprint, achieve energy independence and improve the quality of the air we breathe.

As part of our membership in the H2Wielkopolska, on October 11-12, 2022, we had the pleasure of participating in a study visit to Great Britain. The delegation, led by Mr. Jacek Bogusławski – member of the board of the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship and chairman of the Wielkopolska Hydrogen Platform, was composed of representatives of companies actively participating in the preparations for the hydrogen transformation. Lafrentz Energy was represented by the President of the Management Board, Gabriel Kobierski. The other participants were representatives of PHU “Trans-Kol” Zenon Sobczak, Virtud, Przedsiębiorstwo Badań i Energetyczne Energotherm, DTJ and Sevencomp Marcin Indrzejczak.
According to the program of the visit, the delegates got acquainted with the activities of the Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Center (MFCIC) at Manchester Metropolitan University. The center has been working with business, industry and local government for many years to implement a regional hydrogen strategy for the Greater Manchester agglomeration. During the tour of the fuel cell laboratory, the Polish team exchanged experiences with British scientists, including director of MFCIC Amer Gaffar, prof. Peter Kelly, prof. Bamidele Adebisi and Dr. Justyna Kulczyk-Małecka.
Participants also saw the Hydrogen Home near Newcastle – a modular house estate owned by Northern Gas Networks, used to test hydrogen solutions and technologies in housing. In the model houses, hydrogen cookers, stoves and boilers are used.
The visit allowed us to look at hydrogen technology from the perspective of a country that is very advanced in the development of hydrogen technology. It was a great opportunity to talk to scientists and learn about the results of their experiments. We learned both the benefits of this technology and the areas that require special attention.
We would like to thank H2Wielkopolska for the opportunity to participate in this project.
Participation in the visit was carried out as part of the competition project “Economic 2050 – H2Wielkopolska” co-financed by the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Program for 2014-2020, Measure 1.4: Internationalization of the regional economy, Sub-measure 1.4.2: Economic promotion of the region.
